If you are planning your wedding day, then you are most likely thinking about where you and future spouse want to go for your honeymoon. Like most couples you probably want to go somewhere romantic and someplace where you will not have to worry about the weather, even in the winter time. An island somewhere in the pacific is at the top of most couples list, as the temperatures are usually mild all year round. Head to Suva and stay in an all inclusive resort or a 5 star hotel as there are plenty of Fiji Accommodation discount packages available.

Fiji has a very unique geography and is situated in the South Pacific Ocean. This country occupies an archipelago of over 300 islands, but only abut 100 of them are even inhabited. There are two major islands which account for 87% of the population, Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. There are many new and exciting things to do in Fiji, but if you are planning a trip for the first time, you should definitely consider some Adventure cruises.
Adventure Cruises are an expedition trip of a lifetime and cannot be compared to anything else you can imagine. These travel experiences are brought to you through Active Fiji/Tui Tai Adventure Cruises and will provide you with the most unique Fiji experience possible. These excursions are designed for someone who seeks adventure and a wild ride while on a vacation.
First, there is Fiji Adventure, the Waterfalls and Walls package which takes you sea kayaking through closely spaced small coral islands, whitewater rafting through unbelievable rainforest canyons and snorkeling in beautiful, impeccable reefs. This is the perfect way to immerse yourself in all of the culture and beauty that Fiji has to offer. Tui Tai Adventure Cruises is a sea expedition that takes place aboard a 140 foot motorized sailing schooner called the A/S Tui Tai. The Tui Tai is a small ship with the elegance of large cruise ship. It consists of air conditioned cabins and staterooms to make you as comfortable as possible when having some downtime on your adventure. All of the rooms were renovated in 2006 to maintain its reputation as the premier expedition vessel in the South Pacific. The Tui Tai ship carries all its own equipment which includes, but is not limited to, kayaks, mountain bikes, snorkel gear, scuba gear and dive boats.
Arguably the most attractive thing about the Fiji Adventure Cruises is that they are a true Ecotourism which fosters partnership and development with native groups. This operation allows local villages to benefit economically as well. Funds, based on a percentage of the revenue from Fiji Adventures, are distributed to local villages to build new schools, buy medical supplies and fund any other community project that may be needed at that time.
The itinerary for the Fiji Adventures is jam packed with adventure and will never leave you without something to do. So, if you are someone who likes to think outside the box for a vacation idea or activity, then Cruise Adventures is the perfect solution.

In short, Fiji is tropical paradise made up of over 220 volcanic and coral islands, of which only 100 or so are inhabited.

The archipelago is situated around 2,000 miles east of Australia, and is flanked by the world’s fourth largest barrier reef.

The main lure of Fiji when compared to other South Pacific resorts is the wealth of diversity that is on offer, both geographically and culturally. There truly is something for everyone from romantic couples and discerning travellers to thrill seekers and backpackers.

The main and largest island, Viti Levu is home to the capital, Suvo and the country’s main airport – Nadi. Although the capital doesn’t have much to offer visitors the island is amass with coral coast beaches, and has the largest concentration of costal resorts of all of Fiji’s islands.

The least developed area of Viti Levu is around the northern coast, where you will find some traditional Fijian villages backed by some of the country’s most beautiful mountains.

Just a few minutes by plane from Nadi are the Mamanuca Islands, which are easily Fiji’s most popular destination. Some of the islands are small enough to walk around, and others are bordered by miles of sweeping beaches. These islands are more geared towards those who wish to party all night, or indulge in leisurely water sports like banana boat rides, para-sailing and game fishing.

On from here are the Yasawa Islands which offer the perfect balance between traditional Fijian life and semi-popular resorts. The pace of life on these islands is generally quite slow, and there is plenty of opportunity to meet other travellers.

For the more romantic getaway then the most isolated island Rotuma, is undoubtedly the winner. Although the most expensive to get to and lacking accommodation, it offers an unparalleled amount of untouched beauty.

Lastly are the northern and southern islands that offer world class scuba diving and surfing opportunities and some excellent night time scuba diving expeditions. On land the dense rainforests and mountains make for exhilarating hiking treks.

With the wealth of activities on offer, it’s no surprise to hear that the Fuji has become a popular holidays destination. All of the extra interest in holidays to Fiji has made finding cheap holidays there a breeze a breeze.

Snorkeling in fiji is a highlight that just about every traveler tries when having fun in Fiji. You can find excellent reefs and amazing sea life to scope out. Not to mention a lot of great places close to the coast making it a great “pass the time away activity” if your looking for things to do in Fiji that’s affordable. All you need to get going is a mask, snorkel and a set of fins.

Be sure and put on sunscreen and maybe even a t-shirt because it’s really easy to lose track of time and get caught up in the sights and come out with a scorched back and legs. It is common to see sharks and other sea life and a lot of the underwater critters are poisonous so it’s best not to touch anything. Snorkeling in Fiji at night is an excellent experience if your not afraid of the unknown and open to different Fiji activities.

You can usually find great snorkeling gear from the tour operators and resorts but keep in mind bad snorkeling gear can ruin the experience. It’s not bad idea to find out in advance how good the gear is or bring your own. It’s pretty easy to carry, and inexpensive, plus you won’t have the thought of putting your mouth where someone else’s has been.

A lot of the places in Fiji you can only snorkel at high tide due to the coral and be cautious of the currents. The best places to go on Viti Levu is at Natadola Beach but watch the current. You can also check out Nananu-i-Ra and Beqa Lagoon. The coast in Viti Levu is not that great for snorkeling because it’s pretty deep and swimming is mostly tidal.

For the best snorkeling dive site head toward the outer islands. Some of the best sites include Mamanucas and Yasawas, Vanua Levu’s rocky coastline, particularly near Mumu’s Resort, Taveuni’s Vuna Reef, offshore of the Matava Resort in Kadavu, and the Lomaiviti Group’s Caqalai and Leleuvia. Just about any site that is accessible will lead to a great time snorkeling in Fiji.

This article is provided by Adventure Brat for Snorkeling In Fiji.

Vanuatu (previously known as the New Hebrides Islands) is an archipelago nation consisting of 83 islands in the southwest Pacific Ocean, north of New Zealand and east of Australia.

The British and French who settled the New Hebrides in the 19th century agreed in 1906 to an Anglo-French Condominium, which administered the islands until independence in 1980. European settlers released several saltwater crocodiles on the island, although today’s population on the island officially stands at 2 or 3 medium-sized individuals on the Banks Islands and no breeding has been observed. Despite its proximity to Papua New Guinea, crocodiles do not naturally occur on Vanuatu.

The climate is tropical, and almost always warm, with temperatures in the 20s and 30s celsius. The wet season runs from November to April, and can be very rainy and humid. Cyclones may occur from December to April.

HOW TO REACH

By boat – Vanuatu’s main ports are Port-Vila on the island of Efate and Luganville on the island of Espiritu Santo.

The Pacific and Orient (P&O) Cruise lines operate regular cruises through Vanuatu waters.

Tallship Soren Larsen, sails from Fiji to Port Vila and Santo and explores the northern Banks Islands once a year. 2008: Sails from Lautoka to Yasawa island then Vanuatu – 18 nights from 31 Aug-18 Sept.

Subsequent 11 night cruises explore the Banks Islands, then the isolated islands of central Vanuatu, depart from Port Vila via Tanna island to New Caledonia on 19 Oct

By plane – The main international airport is located in Port-Vila with flights to and from:

Australia – Brisbane – Air Vanuatu (Qantas code share and Pacific Blue

Sydney – Air Vanuatu (Qantas code share)

Melbourne – Air Vanuatu

New Zealand – Auckland – Air Vanuatu and Air New Zealand

Fiji – Nadi – Air Vanuatu and Air Pacific

New Caledonia – Nouméa – Air Vanuatu and Aircalin

Singapore – Singapore Airlines

Solomon Islands – Solomon Airlines

Direct flights from both Sydney and Brisbane to Luganville with Air Vanuatu

STAY SAFE

Port Vila is, on the whole, a very safe and friendly environment. You are unlikely to encounter any trouble unless you do something extremely provocative.

There are no seriously poisonous snakes, spiders, or insects on Vanuatu, however there are various poisonous aquatic animals that you should beware of if you are swimming, snorkeling, or diving in the area. The most dangerous of these is the stonefish. Saltwater crocodiles are present, so the likelihood of an attack is minimal.
